18-year-old Jayden Bledsoe of Arkansas earned a perfect score on the 2025 National Spanish Exam, surprising even his teacher, and was rewarded with a full scholarship to study Computer Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

UNITED STATES — In a standout academic triumph, 18-year-old Jayden Bledsoe, an African-American student from Arkansas, earned a perfect score on the 2025 National Spanish Exam, becoming the only student in the state to achieve this distinction.
A junior at Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School, Jayden admitted he was uncertain about the listening portion of the test due to the range of Spanish accents.
“I knew I might struggle with the listening part because of all the different accents. I didn’t expect to get a 100,” he shared.
His Spanish teacher, Robin Kratzke, expressed surprise and pride over his accomplishment.
“In all my years of studying and teaching Spanish, I’ve never seen anyone score 100%. I didn’t even get that when I took the test,” she said.
Jayden attributed his success to long study hours and hands-on learning in class, particularly through speaking exercises that kept him engaged.
As a result of his outstanding achievement, Jayden received a full scholarship to the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he plans to pursue a degree in Computer Science.
