Eligibility For 2025 Fellowship (Fixed-Term) At University of Bath

The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D. and an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline with a substantial computational component. Demonstrable expertise in computational modeling in interdisciplinary mathematical biology research is essential. Experience of collaborative work across disciplines and a track record of research project design and delivery are required. Proficiency in computational modeling, ideally with experience in within-host modeling immunology and/or pharmacology, is desired.

Description For 2025 Fellowship (Fixed-Term) At University of Bath

The Research Associate will be responsible for combining two mathematical frameworks to model infectious diseases in the lung and developing a new model to account for immunological dysfunctions typical in specific subgroups of TB patients. The role involves conducting simulations of different treatment options using integrated Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic models, contributing to the project’s deliverables, and communicating results through peer-reviewed journal publications and national/international conference presentations. Additionally, the successful candidate will actively support PhD and undergraduate students within the team and collaborate with clinical, biological, and mathematical partners.
